Our 3 locations offer cozy environments with indoor & outdoor play areas, nap rooms, and a kitchen for meal preparation. We have an age-appropriate group of friends who transition from one location to another to make sure they adapt better and don’t miss the friends throughout those first 4 years at Casa Feliz.

Infants’ house (for children aged 3 to 15 months) at 95th Place has been renamed “Casa Boto Rosa” to celebrate the pink dolphin of the Amazon River. This initiative introduces Brazilian fauna and vibrant colors into the children’s vocabulary, enriching their cultural experience. The Boto Rosa, the largest river dolphin species, is known for the light pink hue of the males. This fascinating creature is central to numerous Amazonian legends, including tales of dolphins transforming into handsome men when they leave the river’s waters.

Toddler House | 8813 NE Wygant St Portland OR 97220
Young toddlers’ house (for children aged 15 to 30 months) at Wygant Street has been renamed “Casa Mico-Leão Dourado” in honor of the golden lion tamarin. This species is an emblem of the Southeast Brazilian forests near São Paulo but is critically endangered due to severe habitat reduction, with only about 5% of its natural environment remaining. Despite weighing less than 2 pounds, these tamarins stand out with their brilliant reddish-orange fur, making them easily visible from a distance. This naming reflects our commitment to introducing the children to Brazilian culture and environmental awareness.

Older Toddler House | 3116 NE 83rd Ave Portland OR 97220
Older toddlers’ house (for children aged 2.5 to 5 years old) at 83rd Avenue is now known as “Casa Arara Azul,” inspired by the little blue macaw. This remarkable bird, native to the arid regions of Brazil’s Northeast, was once extinct in the wild due to habitat loss. Thanks to dedicated conservation efforts, these macaws are being successfully reintroduced into their natural environment. For a fun and educational family movie night, we recommend watching the animated film Rio, which beautifully highlights this amazing species and its story. We are excited to share these new names and logos with you as part of our effort to integrate Brazilian culture and wildlife into the children’s learning experience. We encourage you to incorporate these names into your vocabulary at home and invite you to ask any questions about these animals, our thought process, or anything related to Brazilian fauna. We love celebrating this part of our heritage with you!
