Application and Enrollment
Thank you for your interest in Casa Feliz Childcare.
We do not offer limited enrollment for short periods of time. Our entry age limit at Casa Feliz is 12 months. The reason we have an age limit upon enrollment is to ensure that we create a strong and nurturing bond with your little one. We have come to find that children under 10 months are able to create a secure bond with our teachers at a quicker rate than older children. Our goal is to have children start at a young age (ideally 6 months) and continue growing with us, creating a more memorable and nurturing relationship with your whole family. Our staff have years of experience working with infants and toddlers to make this happen!
Application and Enrollment process:
1. SCHEDULE A TOUR WITH US!
Please email us at admissions@casafelizchildcare.com to schedule a tour with our Director. We look forward to meeting you and getting to share our philosophies with your family! We will email you to confirm your tour date and time. We host tours on the first Tuesday of the month at 6pm to not disturb the flow of the children and teachers.
2. JOIN THE PDX WAITLIST
After the tour, we invite you to join our waitlist through PDX Waitlist. Enrollment offers are based on your application, your child’s age, and your schedule preference. To be placed on our waitlist, a $20 non-refundable fee is required. You will remain on the waitlist until: an enrollment offer is accepted/declined, you ask to be removed, or your child ages out (over 2 years old) of our age limit entry.

3. ENROLLMENT OFFER
When an opening spot becomes available, you will receive an email from our staff to attend a Family
Interview (see below). Enrollment offers are typically made when a spot becomes available for the days
you have requested or similar days we have available. Immediate openings do come up and offers are
made to families on the waitlist on a first to sign up, first to be served base.
Enrollment Fees
Upon accepting an enrollment offer, we require a deposit of a non-refundable first month’s tuition and a non-refundable enrollment fee of $250 to secure your spot within our program. Both are non-refundable under any circumstances.
4. FAMILY INTERVIEW & WELCOME PACKAGE
If the available spot is of interest to your family, you will be invited to come back to Casa Feliz Childcare
during open hours to talk with our Director, Assistant Director, and staff. During that visit, we discuss
our values, philosophy, and overall care. We want to get to know you in a less formal manner and make certain our values match yours. There are lots of different childcare centers/homes and we want to make sure Casa Feliz Childcare is a right fit for you and your family!
5. ENROLLMENT EMAIL
If our interests match, you will receive a final acceptance email and first day instructions. From there you are able to secure your spot and enroll at Casa Feliz Childcare!
Re-Enrollment
Every September, we host re-enrollment with our current families where we confirm their care needs for the upcoming year. Our current families are guaranteed their existing schedule but may at this time request a schedule change. We will do our best to accommodate these requests. Once we have checked in with all of our current families, we then proceed to checking in for any upcoming openings and we connect with waitlist families. While it may be hard to predict the timing of openings, as it depends on a change in a current family’s care needs, we do see openings year round. If something close to what you are seeking arises, we will touch base with you!
Enrolled families are required to give a written 60-day advance notice prior to decreasing enrollment or withdrawing care.
